Thank you for visiting my page! I am a senior researcher at Chr. Michelsen Institute in Bergen, Norway, and a teaching assistant professor at the Department of Economics, Syracuse University. My research focuses on the historical analysis of development and state capacity in Africa. Several of my research papers are published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Economic Journal, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Institutional Economics, and World Development. I teach courses on African Economic Development and undergraduate microeconomics.
